The Cottage: Cosy & Comfortable

Our cottage has been furnished with care to make you feel right at home. Underfloor heating keeps things comfortable all year round. For the true enthusiast, a small wood-burning stove is available for extra atmosphere (use permitted for experienced users only).

Living room Relax on one of two two-seater sofas or in the armchair. A flatscreen TV with internet and various apps is available, along with free WiFi throughout the cottage.

Kitchen Fully equipped with an induction hob, combination oven, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, kettle and a Senseo coffee machine.

Sleeping On the upper floor you will find two comfortable single beds (bed linen included) and a spacious wardrobe.

Bathroom Modern shower with washbasin, hairdryer and a separate toilet.

Outside Your own parking space and a private terrace with garden furniture, perfect for enjoying the fresh forest air.

Safety & House Rules For everyone’s safety, the cottage is equipped with smoke detectors and a carbon monoxide detector. Smoking and pets are not permitted.

De Lytse Wâldpleats is uniquely situated at the junction of several nature areas.

Right on your doorstep Across the road lies the beautiful Duurswouderheide heathland. At the back, you can walk straight into the forests of ‘t Oude Bosch (home to the well-known Freulevijver pond) or the woodland of the Slotpleats.

Activities Explore the newly surfaced cycle paths or the nearby Bakkeveense Duinen dunes. Bicycles can be hired or serviced at the neighbours: Meinsma Fietsen.

Amenities Hotel-Restaurant De Stripe is just 800 metres away (takeaway available). Wijnjewoude itself has a local convenience store; for larger shopping or an outdoor swimming pool, Bakkeveen is only 3 km away.

Towns & Culture Visit the charming villages of Beetsterzwaag and Oosterwolde, or head to Drachten for shops, theatre venue Schouwburg De Lawei or the modern swimming centre De Welle.
